We Eloped in Sedona! Cresent Moon Ranch Wedding Photography
It may not be a society wedding with eight bridesmaids and 500 guests, but an elopement wedding is just as important to the bride and groom. For Katie and Brent the idea of eloping helped to take the stress out of their special day, while also hiring me to capture this intimate moment with photos. The couple chose Crescent Moon Ranch as the location for their photoshoot because it has several wonderful backdrops in one location.
The first thing I focused on was getting to know a little bit about the couple before the big day. If I’m even a little familiar with who they are as a couple and individuals, I find that we create a very relaxed and enjoyable environment together. I want the bride and groom to relax as I customize the shooting session around them. I love to capture the look, style, and atmosphere that best represents the couple’s union. I help guide them through the entire process so that they can fully focus on each other and enjoying their special day.
Arizona has many stunning outdoor settings for weddings, with backgrounds of cactus gardens, giant red rock structures, mountain forests, and stunning rock formations. So I always encourage the couple to choose the setting they want and then I recommend several possible shoot locations for them to choose from. Depending on the length of the session they purchase we can schedule to visit a few locations to help capture their emotions and interactions, both candid and posed.
When the great day comes, I arrive early to set up my equipment. From that point, I am unobtrusive except for posed pictures. Clearly, you see life as a series of grand adventures, so it makes sense that your wedding day is one. I document and capture the excitement and unpredictability of the day, incorporating stunning scenic moments as well as the interactive moments in-between.
